How the war in Ukraine affects Galician livestock, topic of debate of Talk I with agents of the sector organized by the PROTEINLEG Operational Group. Next Thursday, May 19, at 10am and through Teams, a round table will be held that will revolve around how the war in Ukraine is affecting Galician livestock. The event, organized within the framework of the dissemination activities of the PROTEINLEG project, will have the participation of some of the main companies and associations of the Galician livestock fabric.
The war in Ukraine is devastating the country and putting the whole of the European Union in a limit situation. Galician livestock is not immune to this: already in a delicate situation as a result of the years of uncertainty derived from the pandemic, the beginning of the war in Ukraine coincided with the moment in which the sector recovered normality, stressing and putting livestock in a situation of extreme gravity.
On this day, which will be held online and totally free, we will talk about how this deep international crisis has affected and is affecting Galician livestock and the supply of feed. Likewise, possible solutions that allow mitigating this situation will be addressed, as well as discussing how the Galician livestock sector can be strengthened. The round table will be attended by Almacenes Gamallo, the Centro Tecnolóxico da Carne (CTC), the Fundación Empresa Universidad Gallega (FEUGA) and the associations AGACA and ASOPORCEL.
